Principal Consultant Ecology

Chris is a terrestrial ecologist with 21 years’ experience undertaking scientific research and environmental consulting. He completed his Ph.D. in animal ecology, as well as possessing extensive knowledge of the flora of Queensland and the Northern Territory. Chris has published peer-reviewed research on a wide range of species, including birds, insects and weeds.

Chris has worked as a consultant to the mining industry for the past 10 years, leading flora and fauna surveys, mine rehabilitation monitoring, progressive rehabilitation and closure plans, environmental offsets strategies and monitoring, threatened species management plans, weed management plans and ecological impact assessments.  

Chris is a keen birdwatcher, who also spends much of his spare time actively restoring the forest on his rural property.
